Don't Fall into the Q3 Panic
Over the years, we've noticed a pattern that companies often fall into with sales and marketing:
Q1: They have a plan with lofty goals. Sales are firing on all cylinders because of heavy outbound. They feel like they're going to have a banner year.
Q2: They still have lofty goals and are optimistic this quarter will be better because people are more engaged. Sales are still firing on all cylinders.
Q3: Interest slows down for the summer as everyone's distracted by vacations. They begin panicking because they haven't closed much of anything. They decide they need more marketing.
Q4: Marketing sets up ineffective emergency campaigns, sales sends out lame emails, and the company contacts outside marketing help, but has no budget set aside. Goals and quotas aren't hit, the budget's cut, the table is set for another lackluster year, and the beat goes on.
We hope this doesn't sound like your organization and that you've built a sales and marketing machine. If not, now is the time to act! Effective marketing is not magical. It takes time and thought to build out a sustainable marketing plan and execute it.
Having a CMO to provide marketing strategy and direction can have a huge impact on growing your business. But it's not always an option. Learn more about how hiring a fractional CMO can benefit your organization and provide the guidance your marketing strategy needs.
Your brand's online reputation contributes to one of the most basic, traditional facets of marketing: word-of-mouth. Most resources will tell you there are three primary components of online reputation management (ORM): social media, search engine optimization (SEO), and reviews. And while theyβre the most obvious, theyβre not everything. Read our blog to learn about the rest.
A Facebook Ad campaign we ran for one of our clients from May 26-29 resulted in 1,064 clicks and increased their sales by 32%. With only a $300 investment (a $0.24 cost-per-click), this campaign helped them exceed their year-to-date goals.
We're excited to welcome our newest team member, Justyn! A Note from Team SIX β
Hello partners & friends,
Can you believe it's June already? Like we said at the top of this email, Q3 is almost upon us. If you don't have a marketing plan in place, it's so important to start planning now, rather than in September, so you have time to set up systems and see results before the end of the year.
Many industries, especially B2B industries, experience a summer slump, and while it can be discouraging, it's the perfect time to regroup and lay the groundwork for a great second half of the year.
As always, we hope you've found the resources in this email helpful. Please feel free to reply to us with any questions you have or any topics you'd be interested in learning more about.
